I am a qualified and experienced website & software developer, trainer, researcher and higher education teacher.
I have taught for several UK universities both locally and in Hong Kong, guiding undergraduate and post-graduate students towards degree and higher degree level qualifications. Following two years of study I was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education by the University of Sheffield. I have taught students majoring in computer science, software engineering, accounting and business.
My research has involved optimising the performance of development teams, software testing, developing teaching innovations and the training of research students and staff. This has generated over 50 publications in conferences, the academic and popular press.
More recently I have developed and delivered a range of training to research students and staff in the UK. This has focused on their career development and peer support through research staff associations.
